I'm not sure about used carts. Like you said, there are plenty of places online to find new ones. You could try checking out the Cascade Sled Dog Team's web site. Sometimes they'll post things for sale on there, or maybe one of their members could point you in the direction of a more local dealer?

Hello there. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get used Sacco pulling carts (or any other pulling carts for that matter). I rollerblade in the summer, but have no way to fulfill my husky's pulling desire in the winter. A cart would be a perfect way. I have looked online and found them new; and, have seen the different scooters available, but I cant find a local dealer. Is there one for carts I can sit in while she pulls me?

Atreyu would love to hike, pull a skier and play in the snow. He is adoptable through Lexi Dog on Macadam. Kim says he is a wonderful young dog and can't believe some husky lover hasn't snatched him up. Do you have room for another friend?

Woo hoo!!! There's lots of fresh snow up on the mountain!! I took the dogs hiking today along Hwy. 6 and we got into some almost knee deep powder that was wonderful! It was seriously like powdered sugar. We're going to do some skijoring tomorrow!

I emailed Lindsay about this, but thought I would post here as well. How do you get to Frog Lake? I am driving up tomorrow by myself and have only been up near Mt. Hood once. Any specific clues on how to get there would be great!

Lindsay this is a message from Kuma and his owners, they unfortunately will not be able to meet on the mountain tomarrow. An emergency came up. They are practicing and will try for another weekend. Sorry, Jill at The Active Canine

I competed in the Frog Lake I and II races last year with just Heffner. This year we missed the first one in Jan. and we'll miss the second one in Feb. because I've got Heffner entered in an agility trial. The races are sooooo much fun though! And it's a good way to get your feet wet because the recreational skijoring division is just a two miles race. Not bad at all. Unless of course, your dog decides they'd rather trot next to you instead of in front of you!! Heffner did that to me on the last day! It was still a lot of fun though! Especially watching the competitive skijorers in the other division and the different sledding teams. Very cool! I finally got both of the dogs up to the mountain today to skijor together for the first time and it went really well!! It was Bess' first time and she did great! Better yet, she really got Heffner going! They full out ran for the first mile of trail! I uploaded some pics and video that I took of them once they slowed down and I didn't have to concentrate so much on staying upright!

We also use the Diggler scooter for training closer to home. I usually am only able to make it up to the mountain about once a week. The scooter is great for closer to home training. And it's also great because it has BRAKES!!
