Atreyu loves the snow. He is available for adoption and is staying at Lexi Dog on Macadam. Kim says he is a wonderful young lad and she wonders if any husky lover has room for another dog?

I want to add that this was the one and only time he pulled me with his neck. The picture was taken the very first time my husband handed me Clyde's leash....I had actually been working with Lola at the time. Therefore he didn't have his harness on and I felt super bad that he was pulling with his neck collar.

Well with all of this snow, I got my x-country skis out and had to try and see if either of our dogs would pull me. Lola wasn't too sure about it, but Clyde loved it! I have a regular harness that I have been using, but now need to work on getting a real harness for him. I appreciate all the information that I am finding on this website...any other tips or tricks people want to share?

It was great! I agree! Skye hated it the first time i made her go out to go potty. The second time i put on her boots and her cloudchaser, and this time she was all play! rolling in the snow, eating it, play bowing. Clearly, she is a snow bunny, she just wanted to be properly dressed first :)! Funny girl

Hooray for snow on the valley floor!! I took the dogs out to a wooded area with a giant field and they had a blast playing in the snow yesterday!

How are the snow mobiles with the dogs? Do they usually go pretty slow?
Lindsay Comment by Lindsay on November 13, 2008 at 12:27pm
I usually go around Frog Lake. It's a multi use trail, so you'll see skiers, snowshoers, snow mobiles, and dog sledders out there. Everyone is usually really good about having other people on the trail!

Where is the best place on Mt. Hood, or the wilderness around it to go snowshoeing or xcounrty skiing with your dog? I made the mistake last year of going on a groomed trail and did not see the no dogs signs, as I didn't enter the 'right' way, and I got yelled at by a skiier. So, does anyone have any great trails they could recommend?
