Diva, the founder of the Chihuahua group, wanted to let us all know about a gathering she's planning. Heres her message:

"Hi there. I took a look at your Toy Box group, and wanted to let you and your members know I have created a Chihuahua Social group for those who have Chihuahuas. I'm planning events starting with a Chihuahua play day at Lexi Dog in Lake Oswego on the 21st of March, and then several social gatherings at my place throughout the summer. I have 2 large fenced yards. Other small breeds would be welcome, so if you or your members have any interest in this fun stuff, please tell them to contact me through Chihuahua Social Club.

They are selling rather nice soft crates that would fit smaller dogs, even some smallish medium sized dogs, at Bed Bath & Beyond for $20. They are the kind that fold completely flat and have a nice little carry bag.

We should find a place and have small dog fun play days...maybe set up some jumps for fun, and let the small dogs socialize.

there is a small dog only dog park in west linn. The large breed dog park is right next to it. It is a nice ,clean place.

I wish!! I take my collie to Gabriel Park...but the papillons, no way.
I can't stand to watch tiny doxies, chis, even Italian greyhounds in there getting caught up in a swirl of even the most well meaning retrievers......and everyone laughs and says, "Oh he thinks he's the biggest dog, he bosses the others around" which is SO not the point!!!!

I don't know of parks that do that, but some indoor play groups will have different times that are for small dogs only.
