We just got back from our mid-day walk. Its sunny so not as muddy but she definitely had fun. It's becoming more and more apparent that she needs a companion soon.
She looks at us like "Why can't you run FASTER?" :)
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yes, I would send an email inviting all members to a get together. I'd also post it in the Event Section. I think if we establish a routine, people can come and go as they please. I'm going to check on a couple of possible locations.

I'm glad you are interested!

Thank you Connie for passing my name on to your friend, I am open to all ideas. I will talk to my husband about a portrait and see what he thinks. It is so great that kids learn kindness from animals.

Thank you Connie for your kind words. These animals that share our lives are amazing aren't they? They inspire us in so many ways even after they are not with us. I would love to have a portrait done of my "kids".

Profile Information

Introduce Yourself
I am a pet portrait artist living in Lake Oswego. I appeared on OPB TV's Art Beat in 2005 with my paintings. I adore animals! I took an animal communication class with Karen Anderson and I learned a lot from her and it has helped me with my artwork. I also sell prints and paintings on ebay. I'm also a children's author/illustrator and have 68,000 books sold worldwide so far. I have a line of popular greeting cards from my pet portraits.

I started painting portraits about six years ago after I retired from being a court reporter for 23 years. I've painted over 360 portraits so far. I love meeting people and hearing all about their animals. I feel a special kinship with those people who are grieving the loss of a pet. It warms my heart to see how happy they are after they receive their painting. I remember a couple years ago, I painted a lady's three cats who had crossed over. She was crying when she saw her painting and said, "Now I feel like I can take my cats home with me again," as she walked out the door. It was so uplifting to share that moment with her.
Introduce Your Pets
I have an Australian shepherd named Jesse. He's a black tri-color. We also had his sister, Harley, for a little over three years, but she has crossed over. I know she is happy in spirit, romping and playing and herding everything that moves! In the past, I've been privileged to share my life with a yellow lab, border collie, several German Shepherds and some cats, too.
Do you have a special skill, idea, or talent to share with us?
To meet fellow animal lovers and to network with other pet-related professional folks.
How did you find us?
Wendy Dunder (Wonder Dunder) sent me an e-mail and invited me to join.
