I'm a professional dog groomer with a shop in SW Portland (Tigard/ Beaverton area) called Bubbles N' Bows Dog Salon. I specialize in working with one dog at a time that may need a little extra TLC, or just a quieter & less stressful atmosphere for grooming. I do volunteer grooming every Monday at the Bonnie Hays Shelter in Hillsboro... and is always a special day in my week. It is so rewarding to know that I can play just a small part in helping these dogs that have tragically lost the "people" they'd always counted on. Just having a bath .... or for some.... a total makeover & new haircut... makes such a difference in helping them feel better, and ready to meet their new families!
I also enjoy dog photography. I especially love playing around with Photoshop to send fun & silly dog pictures to my young grandkids (Trevor & Britton) who live across the country in Virginia. They always get such a kick out of them!
Introduce Your Pets
My husband and I are owned by a blind Jack Russell Terrier named Lucy, and a toy Rat Terrier, Holly. Lucy has been blind for 4 1/2 years, and has her own support web site for owners of blind dogs at: www.blinddogs.net
We also do foster care for a Rat Terrier rescue... so we often have additional (temporary) family members with us.
