Is there anywhere where my mini aussie(s) and I can take flyball lessons in December? We have available time on the weekends for the month only, otherwise weekdays is all we've got.
I'd love to see if Ellie (16mos & 17" tall) has what it takes, a...
The half time show was lots of fun - actually all the X-Fido dogs were new to the venue. We were quite proud that they all did their job with no trouble. Kodi - Pomeranian, Irie - Pit Bull, Zoey - Cardigan Corgi, Sadie - Mini Aussie and Lexi - Bor...

Nancy - I just joined this group and I saw your post about wishing there were fenced dog parks in SE Portland. I have also been searching for SE PDX fenced dog parks, as my Toby doesn't do well with the recall command. I have found three so far. You may have learned about them already, but just in case you are still searching, here is what I know.
(1) Brentwood Park, SE 62nd, just south of Duke St. It is small, but has trees and a water station, and gives my dogs room to run and interact with the other dogs. Brentwood Park is quite large, and you can walk your dogs on a leash outside of the fenced area.
(2) North Clackamas Park. Big park with lots of space and a large dog run area. It is 4-5 times as large as the one on 62nd. I visited it for the first time this past weekend, and the dogs and I enjoyed it. Location: Off of Rusk Rd and Hwy 224. Directions: Take Hwy 224 (Milwaukie Expressway) to Rusk Rd. Turn onto Rusk Rd (the side with the big church) and follow road for 1/4 mile (just past the church). Turn right and follow this road all the way back to the Milwaukie Senior Center and the park's parking lot. Dog run area has water and bowls.
(3) Happy Valley Park - 13770 SE Ridgecrest Rd. I haven't been to this one yet, but plan to try it soon.
Yeah -- I know what you mean -- I have three of my own otherwise I'd take her on -- she's a nice dog; I've spent a lot of time around her & really like her, but she needs someone who has maybe one other dog & who can put some time & focus on her. Her main problem is that she's just not used to being handled & she's not "Miss Cuddles" ...otherwise she's lovely.
Hi, Nancy: Jesse doesn't seem to mind not having a tail. But I do think the tails shouldn't be cropped if the puppies are born with one. I'm totally against cropping tails and ears. I wish all the vets would just refuse to do it! ~ Connie and Jesse (and two rescue kitties, Brock and Carma)
