Sorry, I just saw your post. I haven't been here in a while. There has not been a case of rabies in dogs in about 30 years here in Oregon. So, I don't think that constitutes a problem.
What?! Why in the world are we spending our tax dollars on something like this? Is there a rabies problem that I'm unaware of? I'm sick of being treated like a criminal because I have a dog.
You are welcome!
I got a response back from Ted Wheeler. While I was impressed in the time he got back to me, I can't say I was impressed with his response. He makes it sound like I haven't done any research. Here is his response. I have not yet r...
Thanks Rene for putting this up! This is an action item everyone can participate in easily. I encourage people to write about their thoughts on these new rules and on to your county commissioner.

After you upload a video, your network will need to convert it to Flash (.flv format) so that your visitors can watch it without needing to install any additional software. This process usually takes between five and 20 minutes, depending on the length of your video. It might take a bit longer if a large video is in the queue in front of you.
Maybe we have met. I used to own the Pearl Retriever. I also produced the Pups of Portland Project. Anyway, let me know if you are still having trouble uploading your videos...
Make sure your video does not exceed 100 MB in size. We support as many video formats as we can, but there are literally thousands of video formats out there! As a result, even two video files with the same extension (such as WMV) may use different decoding algorithms. For this reason one of them may work and the other one may not, even though they have the same file extension.
We've found the iPod video format to be very reliable and recommend that you convert your videos to this format if you're experiencing issues when uploading them. There are tools available for both Windows and Mac to help you convert video files into the iPod format.
Mac: If you're using a Mac, we recommend that you try iSquint. This free application can convert most video files into a format that is compatible with Ning. To use this application simply drag the video file that you'd like to convert into the large box, select a folder to save the final file into, and click 'Start'.

Windows: If you're using a Windows PC you may want to try Videora iPod Converter. To use this application select the 'Convert' button on the main toolbar, click on the 'Video File' tab, and select Normal Mode. After this follow the on screen instructions to convert your video file.

Once your video file has been converted, try playing it using a media player such as Quicktime. If it plays back well, this will confirm that the conversion was successful.
2. Go to the Videos section.
3. Click the "Add Videos" link in the upper right corner.
4. By default, you'll be able to use the bulk uploader to add up to 30 movies at a time to the network. The first time you use the uploader, you'll see a pop-up window that says "This applet was signed by Ning Inc and authenticated by VeriSign Inc. Do you trust this certificate?" Click the "Trust" button to proceed.trust certificate
5. In the left pane, find the videos on your computer. To upload them, double click on a video or drag and drop a video or a whole folder to the right pane titled "Videos to Upload."
6. You can drag and drop the videos within the right preview pane to re-order them. To remove videos, you can drag and drop them outside of the preview pane or highlight them and press the "Delete" key.
7. Once you're ready to upload, click the "Next" button.
8. Add information about the videos and select who will be able to view the videos. To apply the same information to all of the videos in the batch, fill out the top portion under "Edit Information for All Videos." Then click the button to "Apply this info to the videos below." You can individually override this information by filling out individual video information below the batch edit.
If you're experiencing issues with the bulk uploader, you can always use the simple uploader by clicking the link to "Return to our simple uploader" at the bottom of the "Add Videos" page.
If you would like to add videos from YouTube, Google or most other video sites, navigate to the site with the video you want and grab the HTML "embed" code to add the video to your network. Click on the "Add Video" link at the bottom of the "Add Videos" page that's under the headline "Add videos from YouTube or Google." Then paste the HTML code in the box:
