Profile Information

Introduce Yourself

Owner of the Dog and Cat Spas Milwuakie and Portland. We offer boarding, grooming, daycare, self groom, baby daycare, cattery, web cams, training, shuttle, toys, natural and holistic foods along with super yummy healthy treats, awesome training stuff and so much more. We have no less than 6 daycare areas at our Burnside location with vaulted ceilings with massive skylights. Both facilities filter out the air all day, keeping it fresh and sanitary. My employees are well compensated.
I am an animal nurse, all breed dog and cat groomer and a dog trainer. I am fortunate to have over 20 plus years in the professional animal care field. I went to college to further my education with dogs and with my two animal care facilities I hope to start my "training rescue camp" for teenagers of all economic backgrounds. With the camp I hope to educate a younger generation about the realities of animal care and in them,create a sense of empathy and responsibility for all living things. In return we can send back the shelter dogs socialized and trained so they can find homes faster.
I also volunteer my time every Wed, training and grooming dogs at the OHS.
I am currently working on 3 different books about dogs, it started as one, but with all the information I've obtained, I now have had to spread it out.
For the longest time I could not figure out my deep obsession of dogs and with my mother's recent passing, all the childhood photographs I found in her belongings were of me with a Border Collie of some sort, I guess my mother had many throughout her lifetime.
I believe that since we, the human race, domesticated dogs and cats, it is up to us to take care of them.
I am the luckiest woman in the world, not only do I have a healthy son and husband, but I have the honor of helping people, everyday, with their pets. This has always given me a deep sense of fulfillment knowing that I make a difference. But the best thing is that I get to snuggle dogs and cats all day!

Fun on my day off!

Just finished up a little dog training via text. Have another "beginning to advanced" group class almost ready to graduate! Then they will move on to my Canine Good Citizen classes! How exciting! I am so proud, especially of the little Jack Russell "Bam Bam". He is trying so hard, but it's difficult for this breed because nothing can move fast enough! LOL

How many cards do you need? I've left about 300 cards with Bryan and there are other members who are picking cards up. Take maybe 50 if you need that many. If not, you can get more later.

Isn't Bobbie great?! I love her!! I'm planning on bringing Bess to the On the Ball class on the 13th! And I'll definitely be bringing my camera as well.:O)

The pool you see in one of my pictures was part of an event put on by northwest challenge. the pools are 30 ft+ long and cost thousands of dollars. Guess i won't be getting one for my back yard anytime soon. the dogs take off from a dock that is 2 feet above the water. a regulation dock is 40 ft long.
