A Dog Named Christmas has been made into a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie for this Christmas season. It is a sweet story -- certainly a warm fuzzy with a few kleenex moments. The local shellter is sponsoring an "Adopt a Dog for Christmas" program, wher…
Just finished Don't Dump the Dog. Great book!! Very funny -- some helpful hints and a few sad moments. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about "Tequila Lime Turd Spray" which has multiple interesting uses. I also enjoyed Randy's previous books, e…
Yes, my JRT and my Boston were best of friends - they were only 2 years apart. We got Timber last fall when we got tired of mourning the loss of our Boston last summer. So Ocho is 10 years and Timber is now 7 months. When Timber was smaller they played nonstop. Now Timber is trying to exert some dominance and since he outweighs Ocho the play is less fun for the JRT. He is starting to just grouchily tolerate the puppy now. About once a day, they tear the house apart in a romp - the rest of the time, Timber bugs Ocho and Ocho grumbles at him.
I really need to find Timber a younger playmate.

Another crazy person with terriers! So nice to meet you. Timber is my very first rattie and I am a bit overwhelmed by his energy. But your dogs look very sweet. What a pretty thing your "mutt" is. I am guessing English Setter mix, right?

Thank you so much. I love the pictures of your pups they are so adorable. we had to enroll baby into PBAA = Penut Butter Adicts Annonomous but he just can't seem to stay on the wagon lol. We can not wait to get another child just like him. Just hard to find a good place to get a puppy so that he can raise a little brother or sister. Take care and may the dogs keep smiling.
Yes, he's too smart for his own good sometimes. We call him a foster failure, but he never even made it up for public adoption. I couldn't bear the thought of him going to someone else. He came from Mexico where people and dogs were not a great situation for him, he has dog aggression on a leash outside but will let any dog in his house. It's kind of a funny deal.
Zeke was adopted yesterday! Didn't even make it a week in the rescue. Yay!
OMG! the pic of the JR all splayed out is halarious. When my pets do that I always say to them "ok is that your playboy/playgirl of the month pose"? I once thought as a joke to do a calander, but people may take it the wrong way. So I just tell my animals "ok stop with the hooker pose" LOL they don't get it, but my family does, so it's mostly a family joke, probably should not share with others, but maybe you'll get it. Great photos by the way. Wish I had the time. so many memories lost.
Welcome, and hugs to the furry ones
