I had an awesome vacation and met some really wonderful "dog" people.
I had the awesome opportunity to meet a wonderful, wonderful dog person. She is also a semi-professional photographer. While staying with her, she took photos of all my dogs, but the ones that really stood out were of Boo, my Staffy mix.
I am including a slideshow link to everyone. If anyone would like to use this as a Bully Breed ad, let me know

For the last five years I have been a part of a huge dog community that spans all countries. Mainly the U.S, but it has given me a great opportunity to meet people who own the same breeds as me, network and just meet some really great people.
Anyway I haven't had a vacation for years and decided that this year I would take one. I am going to California to meet some of the great people who have become my friends from this dog community. Although we have only communicated online or by phone, they…

Well besides being a dog walker/pet sitter and mom to four ..uuh make that six dogs..
Years ago I used to draw, nature, animals, flowers, etc...I even sold a few but...it wasn't serious.
As a result of the downturn in the economy, I along with a few people I am guessing are trying to supplement their income.
I was staring at one of my dogs photos when I started thinking how I could
supplement my income without compromising my business hours, which are at any given time..day or night.
I used to d…

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. I am sure we all will be happy to put the last two weeks of weather out of our minds.
I for one will be. I was fortunate to have a four-wheel drive to get to all my clients pets and none of my clients had to cancel their vacation plans. At times, I will say it felt like I was four-wheeling in the back country when it came to some of these hills. It makes me appreciate the fact I grew up in snow country.
The only thing I…

I worked an event this past weekend at the Bark Park in Aloha. It was for the Hazel Del dog park.
I used to take Boo here when I first adopted her and the owner Sean is great. She still gets all excited when I take her back.
Hazel Del asked me to set up a booth there for my business and each day I took two dogs. Yesterday were my Pugs and today was Gus and Boo...
I like to take them to events like this, get them used to people and other dogs in a crowded area....they sure get a lot treats during…

I was at the Doggy Palooza today and my dogs had alot of pictures taken of them but I was very surprised when I saw that Boo, my 1 /1/2 year old Staffy made it on the Oregonian live front page...how cool is this...
I think it is not only because I am her mom but because of her breed and the education on the breed.
Very proud mom

Recently I was handed an established bookclub ..the organizers went to Iraq.
They were good at organizing and seemed to keep it going.
I on the other, while I like to read, am not that good at rounding interested readers up.
This bookclub is at the person who picked the title, this can be anywhere in the Portland metro area, and surrounding towns.
If anyone is interested, loves to read and is looking for an established bookclub please go here

The other day while waiting for my client Brody to find that perfect spot to relieve himself, I got to thinking about when I walk a dog or go to the dog park how many times I spy brown piles of dog poop laying hither and yon. (Stop reading if you have a queasy stomach) Is it really that hard to stoop and clean it up? Would people leave this mess laying around their own backyard or front yard for that matter?
In today’s world, especially in dog friendly Portland, there are many of those boxes you…

Want to wish everyone and their fur kids a happy 4th of July. I am catching up on my blogs, posts and groups I belong to.
Wondering how the dogs are going to act tonight. I think they will be alright. Last night there were fireworks going off and the dogs were just laying around sleeping. One or two lifted their heads, but no signs of anxiety.
I will be going out tonight so will leave them here in the house with the dog door shut. My neighbors taught my one dog, Boo to jump the fence. I have bee…

Today was a bit better than yesterday considering the heat, but it still wasn't cool enough to take the dogs to the off leash park.
It is especially hard on the Pugs...even Boo my bully is affected by the heat.
I am trying to find a body of water for later this summer where I can take them off leash. I know right now the water is chilly, so it would not be safe. However, my dogs are big weenies and only go up to their knees.
Speaking of water, I just read that Basset Hounds can't swim. I did not…
