This shot is from my friend Blaine's website. Blaine is a multi-talented dude. He lives in Sonoma. The dog is Cheech. When I asked Blaine if he Photoshopped the shot, he replied "No, no. no. No Photoshop. It's the real deal. On July 4th, 10 acres of mountainside burned to a crisp just a quarter mile from our house. This photo was taken as Cheech (the dog) and I walked through the burned landscape after the fire. As he lay on the burned ground with the wind blowing though his white hair, he became very ghost like."

Andrea, Yes, I love that photo! Blaine Transue is available here. I bet he'd be complimented that you want to use his photo on a postcard.

What a wonderful photograph! Do you think your friend would let us use it for one of our postcards with attribution?

It's amazing he got the effect he did on a burned landscape. Thanks Michael for putting it up for us to see.

The effect is amazing! I would love to see my blue merle sheltie in a shot like that, her blue grey coat would just add an even more surreal affect. Cool!

Cheech iis such a beautiful dog. And what a wonderful background for Cheech, even after a fire. Lois
