Abandoned pit bull

There is, I think, an abandon pit pull in my neighborhood. She is brindle colored and looks like she might have had puppies recently. She has 2 tags – one from Multnomah County and one from Washington County. She let me look at her tags once. I quickly memorized the phone number and it turned out to be the # for Bonnie Hayes. Since I didn’t get her registration number, they told me tough luck. I have seen her just about every day for about a week and now she is limping a little. I called animal… Continue

PARKING LOT: Construction of the new toilet began last Wednesday (8/6). It's anticipated this will take until 8/23. The guard has completed ~90% of the lot construction work, and are scheduled to be wrapped up the 14th. This should include leveling of the scraped area along the main North-South "dike" road. (note: the scraped area will be reseeded once the weather starts changing, look for a work party announcement.) Gates have been installed at the "corral" road, and the "dike" road. This wil… Continue

Stone Cold Killer

There was another death today – of the Alvin, Simon, Theodore species. I really can’t get mad at Sam. That’s the rule: ‘Come in my back yard and meet your maker.’ I’m running out of eulogies for small fuzzy animals. People constantly ask if he’s an older dog since he usually moves like a turtle, but apparently it’s all an act. Last year this one squirrel taunted Sam all summer. He’d run back and forth along the fence chattering at Sam for hours. One day I was vacuuming, totally rocking out by m… Continue

Did the abandoned pit bull get picked up? If you can take a picture of her, I'll try to talk with her. I just saw your post about it. I don't know how I missed it!

Hey! Thanks for the comment on my blog! There is no right answer. You're right! That's what makes it so hard. So, I guess we just keep plugging away!

I forgot to tell you I lived in Damascus and then Redland on Baker's Ferry on the Clackamas. Boring was my stomping grounds as we spent lots of time at the horse facility off HWY 26.

Hi Laura,
I think we are OK. I'm thinking that maybe one new member may have clicked a privacy/approve comments button, for their member page, which would keep communication between other members & them slow.

We'll see if it is an issue. I sure hope not. Thanks for all your help.
