Your pups are a couple of good looking hounds! I understand about the animal-human connection versus the human-human connection... dogs (and animals in general) are so special! Have you heard about the film Dark Water Rising? It's a great (and heart-wrenching) documentary on the pets that were left behind after hurricane Katrina and Rita and the efforts to save them and find them homes. It focuses on that animal-human bond throughout the film... it's worth seeing for sure!
